Starting a YouTube channel has never been on my radar…

But here I am and here I go!

Welcome to Chronically Creative TV!

Hi, welcome to Chronically Creative TV. This is my YouTube channel. I've never done a YouTube channel. So I'm trying something new. I don't really have tons of expectations. I just want to share some information, some experiences, and let's see what happens.

I am a huge believer in community…

…in the creative community actually, and I really wanted to find a place to share creative things and also support people as they heal because I believe that creativity is so much more than just creating art. I think that it affects all of our wellness, our physical, mental, social, and spiritual wellness. And this channel is a place to share thoughts and ideas and interactions with people that have similar beliefs.

I am a real advocate of ‘Creative Wellness.’

What does that mean? It means that I think creativity is an amazing tool to improve our overall health. A lot of people are sick these days, mentally, physically and emotional; life is hard. And I feel that creativity is an amazing tool to use to help improve our overall wellbeing.

If I could define my life in two ways (up until now) it would be with chronic illness & with lots of creativity.

I started with some health problems when I was a baby. I had a lot of chronic issues growing up as a child. By my teenage years, these really shifted to more mental issues with chronic depression. As I got into my 20s, I dealt with autoimmune and that lasted for years. And last year I was diagnosed at 40 with early stage breast cancer. Look, when your health is not good, it's really challenging. The physical and the mental, really go together in terms of wellness. When you don't feel well physically, you don't feel well mentally. You're restricted. You can't live the life that you want. And the same for being mentally unwell. Maybe you're not prioritizing your physical health because your mental health is really struggling.

Creativity has been my superpower throughout my life…

…helping me get through some really dark times and helping me see the colors and the beauty and the creations that were all around me when other things felt really difficult. It's for this reason that I really want to share my passion for creativity for finding better health, because we all deserve to feel well.

We all deserve to live the life that we want to live, the life of our dreams.

And in order to live those lives, we have to take care of our bodies and our minds.

I am a big believer in community and I believe that it's important to find the right community.

We are meant to be social beings and community is just a beautiful thing. As I said, it’s important to find the right community. I feel that one of the biggest mistakes I made in trying to cope with chronic health issues in my life was talking too much about it with the wrong people. And this isn't to say that those people weren't incredibly invested and interested in what I was struggling with at the time, but they didn't understand, they didn't know, they didn't know how to understand. I went out searching for people that had dealt with the same things. And it's really where I found some...beautiful tribes of people that I've gotten so much support from.

This channel is where I really want to give that support back.

I want to share what I've learned. I want to share some of these people and some of these tribes, places that I've found so much motivation and strength from. So that's what this is.

This is a place, a safe place to talk about how we can use creativity to improve our health and our well -being. And when we feel better, we do better. We treat people better. We act better. We create better. That's why I'm here, to advocate for creativity, curiosity, and better health. Ok, that's about it for now. I'll be back. And I'm excited about building this space to share with all of you.
